My Background
I have had my Sports Massage level 2 for over 10 years and I acquired my Pregnancy Massage Therapy certification in 2021. I took a break from massage in a professional capacity to follow another path and to become a mother. But in 2022 I decided that I wanted to make a difference in woman's lives; I wanted to be a pillar of support to woman in need and to promote woman's health and well-being through deep tissue massage. I firmly believe that deep tissue massage has an important role to play in recovery, whether it be from a sports injury, work stress, pregnancy and birth, carrying children around all day or from day-to-day activities that put a lot of stress and strain on our bodies.
I have a degree in Sports Science and am happy to discuss and give guidance on any issues you may have with exercise routines, stretching, injury management or footwear.
Taking care of our bodies should be a priority, after-all we only have one body! And having a massage should not make you feel guilty about taking time for yourself, it should empower you as a woman!
My Approach
It is really important for my clients to feel that they have got the most out of their session and that their body has has had some TLC. I want you to have that feeling of freedom, a feeling that makes you want to dance!
To achieve this, I use deep, firm, targeted massage techniques to release any tension in the muscles that cause restricted movement, inflexibility, increased discomfort and/or muscles weakness. I have an individualised approach for each individual client because no one body is the same and not every woman has the same issues/pains so why use the same massage routine/techniques? A deep tissue massage should leave your body feeling relaxed and free, and it should contribute to positive health and well-being which is my goal for each of my clients.
